Description:

This application utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to facilitate wireless control of bespoke LED clothing, costumes, and art pieces designed by Janet Hansen of Enlighted Designs, Inc.

The interface provides a menu showcasing available LED effects and color options, enabling users to select desired modes remotely. These modes are customizable through additional color schemes and background graphics. To operate, the system requires a piece of custom Enlighted artwork or apparel equipped with integrated BLE hardware.

Upon launch, the app scans and displays a list of nearby Enlighted BLE devices. Successful connections lead to the Choose Mode screen, which features a scrollable list of mode identifiers, descriptive names, and thumbnail graphics indicating background colors. These backgrounds may be defined either by two RGB color sets or by bitmaps. Selecting a mode immediately updates the LED display accordingly.

Users can further customize modes by tapping the arrow adjacent to each entry. For modes with RGB-defined backgrounds, this action opens the Choose Colors interface, displaying current colors as selectable round swatches. The active color is bordered in white for editing; any adjustments are transmitted to the hardware upon release of the color picker. Users may switch editing focus between colors or revert changes to original settings using Undo or Revert commands.

For modes utilizing bitmap backgrounds, tapping the arrow opens the Choose Bitmap screen. It shows the current bitmap at the top and presents a menu of alternate images for selection. Changes are previewed in real time on the hardware and can be undone or reverted similarly.

The Device Settings section, accessible via the gear icon, consolidates device-specific information such as device name, optional nickname, battery status, and app version number. It also offers brightness adjustment via slider and a “Reload All Settings from Hardware” option. This function resets customizations to default hardware configurations but may take several minutes and is typically used during initial hardware setup. The app retains previous settings across sessions unless a reload is performed.

An additional feature supports synchronized control of multiple devices through the Mimic option. From Device Settings, users can select “Edit Mimic Device List” to view available devices within range or previously added devices that are currently offline. Active devices on this list will mirror commands—including mode changes, color selections, background bitmaps, and brightness—ensuring uniform display across multiple hardware units.
